DOES ANY OF THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
Most couples don't come to counselling because of one big problem. More often, it's because they're feeling stuck in patterns they can't seem to shift on their own.

"We keep having the same argument."
It might start over something small, but you somehow end up in the same place. One of you feels unheard, the other feels blamed, and nothing ever feels resolved. Together, we'll explore what's driving the conflict and find new ways to have tough conversations without getting stuck in the same cycle.

"Trust has been damaged."
Whether it's infidelity, dishonesty, broken promises or unresolved hurt, something has changed in the relationship and you're unsure how to move forward or whether it's possible. We'll explore what has happened and work towards rebuilding trust, connection, and confidence in each other.

"We feel like we're drifting apart."
You still care about each other, but things don't feel the way they used to. Life gets busy, connection takes a back seat, and you may feel more like housemates than partners. Counselling can help you reconnect, strengthen understanding, and create space for the conversations that often get lost in everyday life.

"We're walking on eggshells."
It feels easier to avoid certain topics than risk another argument. Tension builds, but the conversations that need to happen often get pushed aside. We'll work on creating a safer way to talk about difficult things, reducing defensiveness, and helping both partners feel heard and understood.
I provide counselling for couples and individuals facing relationship strain, separation, and family change. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent more than 20 years working in family law and saw firsthand the impact relationship conflict and breakdown can have on individuals, couples, and families.
Today, I help people address challenges earlier, before conflict becomes more entrenched. I understand how quickly communication can unravel and how emotionally demanding these experiences can be. My aim is to help people move through these periods with greater understanding, stability, and support.

AREAS OF COUNSELLING
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Counselling is not about being told what to do or being pushed towards decisions before you are ready. Sessions are paced and thoughtful, with a focus on understanding what is happening and reducing the pressure that can make conversations difficult to move through. This includes therapist-guided conversations and in-session work where interaction patterns are explored and adjusted as they arise.
Whether working individually or as a couple, we pay attention to the moments where reactions intensify, thinking becomes clouded, or conversations start to unravel. Instead of letting those moments dictate what happens next, we slow them down and examine them carefully, so healthier responses can take their place.
